Julie Chambers grew up in southeastern Michigan and attended public schools all her life. Her mother was a public school teacher in the same district Julie attended, so she developed a deep appreciation for those who dedicate their life to education. She grew up understanding how important public education is to the community and the important role it plays in everyone’s lives.
Julie graduated from The University of Michigan with a B.A. in Political Science and went on to receive her Juris Doctor from The University of Toledo. In 2008, she moved to Indianapolis and began working as a Deputy Prosecutor for the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office. In 2012, she left her position with MCPO and launched her own law firm, Chambers Law Office, LLC, which is now located in Lawrence near Fort Harrison State Park.
Julie and her husband, Sean, have been married for 12 years. They have two daughters, Emily (9) and Morgan (7). They moved to Fishers in 2015, attracted by the excellent schools and growing community. Both Emily and Morgan attend HSE schools. Julie and Sean enjoy volunteering with Mudsock Youth Athletics, where their girls play soccer, and Julie also enjoys helping her daughters learn to play the piano.
